CALL Week 12

 Hello Class,

This is the last class before the Mid-Term test, so we will take this class wrap things up for this term. 

1. Finish any work that you haven't finished for CALL class. 

2. Type either the Unit 9 writing or the Unit 10 writing  that you have done in ESL class on Word or on your blog and send it to T. Sunny.

3. Go to Oxford Discover and finish the work for Units 9&10. 

4. If all of the above work is finished, go to Typing Club and continue your lessons.

Hello Class,

Today we are going to be doing a "webquest". This is searching for specific information on the Internet. Type in the questions below into Google, and answer the questions. Type the questions and answers on a word document or on your blog. Find 5 pictures for 5 of the questions. 

Once you have finished everything for today, finish any unfinished work, and please go to:

a) Highlights and do the new assigned readings

b) Typing Club 

c) For Oxford Discover Continuing working on Unit 9 & 10. 

CALL Week 10

 Hello Class!

Today we are going to be doing Typing Club and another 5 minute English reading lesson called Travel Bug. 

1. You are going to translate all the words from English to Chinese. 

2. Read the story and answer the questions. 

3. Post the translations and the questions on your blog. 

4. Search for a country that you would like to travel to and find at least 3 pictures of the country, and write a paragraph about why you would like to visit that country.

If  you haven't finished your Powerpoint, finish it today.

Today, you are going to use the information that you gathered last week, and make a PowerPoint presentation with it. You should have:

1. A title slide - (1)

2. Dream home slides (4)

3. Medium-priced home slides (4)

4. Cheap home slides (4)

Today, you are going to search for houses!
You are going to find 3 houses and post information about them on your blog. You need to find one house that is cheap, one that is medium-priced, and your dream house. This is what you will need to do:

1. Go to https://www.zillow.com/
2. Find a house that you think is nice.
3. Post the address, how many bedrooms and bathrooms, how big it is, price, down payment, and monthly payment for how many years.
4. Post the link to the site.

CALL S2 Week 6

Hello everyone,

Today, you're going to write about your favorite restaurant, and what you like to eat there. post everything on your blog and send the link for your blog to T. Sunny - shinminsunny@gmail.com

These are the things you need to write on your blog:

1. What is the name and location of the restaurant.
2. What do you usually order for the starter, main course, dessert, and drink. (Include a picture for each thing.)
3. Why do you like going to this restaurant?

Example:

My favorite restaurant is called "Chili's" I usually go there about twice a month with my family. It is in Tiger City on the second floor. The kind of food there is called "Tex-Mex". It's really delicious.

For the starter, we will usually order a Southwestern Eggrolls.

Then for the main course, I like to order the Buffalo Chicken Ranch Sandwich.

For the dessert, we like to order a Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie to share. 

I always order an iced tea to drink with my meal.

I really love Chili's because I think the food is great, and the restaurant is big and comfortable. The service is always very good, and it reminds me of the restaurants we usually go to when we are in California.

A) Today we are going to continue coding. You can choose another coding program from Hour of Code or you can do something more challenging at Coding Game. Just like last time, you need to take a screencap of the last page of the completed code, paste it onto Word, and write a paragraph describing your game, and your thoughts about making it.
