Typing Test and Voki

Hello Class!

Today we are going to practice for the Typing Test that we will start next week. Go to https://www.typingtest.com/ and practice the tests. 

Then, you are going to create a voki, which is an online character. Go to https://www.voki.com/site/create and make your Voki. In the description, you should write something like this:

My name is Julie. I am an avatar. I live my life in your computer. All of my friends are avatars, too. I like to play other online games, chat with my friends, and talk to people like you in the real world. Have a great day, and see you soon. 

Then paste the link on your blog and write a short description of your voki. Then e-mail your blog link to me.

Who is your favorite famous person?

For today's blog post, you are going to write about your favorite famous person. They can be an actor, singer, writer, scientist, politician, illustrator, designer, philanthropist, etc.

In your post you must include the following things:

1. A brief introduction to the person. This should be about 1 paragraph long. Answer these questions:
a. Date of birth
b. Place of birth
c. Height
d. Age
e. How did they become famous?
f. What is their most famous work?

2. Add 4 different pictures of the person into the post.

My Favorite Restaurant

Hello everyone,

Today, you're going to write about your favorite restaurant, and what you like to eat there. These are the things you need to write on your blog:

1. What is the name and location of the restaurant.
2. What do you usually order for the starter, main course, dessert, and drink. (Include a picture for each thing.)
3. Why do you like going to this restaurant?

Example:

My favorite restaurant is called "Chili's" I usually go there about twice a month with my family. It is in Tiger City on the second floor. The kind of food there is called "Tex-Mex". It's really delicious.

For the starter, we will usually order a Southwestern Eggrolls.

Then for the main course, I like to order the Buffalo Chicken Ranch Sandwich.

For the dessert, we like to order a Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie to share. 

I always order an iced tea to drink with my meal.

I really love Chili's because I think the food is great, and the restaurant is big and comfortable. The service is always very good, and it reminds me of the restaurants we usually go to when we are in California.
