CALL S2 Week 4

 Hello class!

Today we are going to be doing "coding". Go to this Hour of Code and choose a game to "code". 

On your blog, share a screencap of the last screen of your game, and write one paragraph on what you think of this game and writing the code for it. Your paragraph should look like this:

In Hour of Code, I chose the game Star Wars to code. For me, it started off pretty easy, but got harder in the last part of the game. It was really fun doing this game. I learned that coding is not easy, and it is actually its own language. If I have the chance, I hope to be able to do it more in the future.

CALL S2 Week 3

 Hi Class!

Today, we are going to be practicing English reading and vocabulary! 

A) 

We are going to read a 5-minute story, answer the questions, make sentences with the vocabulary words, and write a summary of the reading.

Go to this link to find the story.

On a Word document, do the following things:

1. Answer the T/F questions.

2. Choose 6 of the vocabulary words and make sentences out of the words.

3. Write a summary in about five sentences of the reading.

CALL S2 Week 2

Hello class,

Welcome back to school! For CALL class today, I want you to open the Word application, and write about your winter vacation. Choose 14 days out of the vacation. Chinese New Year Eve and New Year's Day must be included in two of the days. For each day of the vacation, write the date and day and what you did in that day. You should make a "table", put the date and day in one column, and what you did in the second column. 

This is an example:

January 25th / Monday	1. I woke up late and played some games on my phone. 2. I had lunch with my sister. 3. I went to the park and played basketball with some friends. 4. I came home and had dinner with my family. 5. We watched a movie on TV and then I went to bed.

Week 20 - Final Week

 Hello class,

Today is the last day of CALL class this semester. These are the things you need to do today:

1. Take a typing test. Go here and choose 1 minute typing test. Then, when you are finished, you need to take a screen capture of your score, and send it to me. If you don't send me you score, this will affect your CALL grade.

2. Do the activities for Units 5 & 6 on Oxford Discover. 

3. For your blog, create a cartoon here or here,  and then post it on your blog. Then send your blog address to me at shinminsunny@gmail.com

Hello class,

Today you are going to make a post on your blog about your favorite shopping mall, movie theater, restaurant, or park. Give three reasons why you like this place. Write 4 paragraphs like the example below. Then give a link to the location of your place from Google Maps. 

My Favorite Movie Theater

My favorite movie theater in Taichung is "Showtime Plaza".  It is near the train station inside a shopping mall. I like this movie theater for three reasons. First, it is in a convenient location. Second, there are a lot of things to do in the shopping mall. Lastly, it is new and clean.

Showtime Plaza is very convenient because it is near the train station. There are many buses that stop there, and it's not in a high traffic area.

Showtime Plaza is in shopping mall, so there are a lot of shops and restaurants to go to either before or after the movie.

Showtime Plaza was just recently built, so the theaters are big with nice seats, and everything is new and clean. It's a great place to watch movies because they always play the latest movies.

2. On your blog, write a paragraph about "New Year's Resolutions". What are your resolutions? Why is it important to make new year's resolutions? End your paragraph by writing about how you are going to celebrate ringing in the new year. Include one or two pictures about new year celebrations, and then send the link to your blog to T.
